Apparently, this is the latest “shock” advert to make you think about the perils of Drinking & Driving

Watch it before reading on – don’t want to spoil the fun:

Will this work? It will certainly get shared. Would it make you think twice about having a drink before driving?

What I think IS clever is that it puts the action in the pub (or wine bar), so in theory this ad might come to mind next time you are in the pub toilet, looking in the mirror. Where it might fail is that most people will already have had their drink by that point … and studies (unfortunately) show that too few potential targets of this message will stop long enough to look in the mirror, never mind wash their hands.
